First Course

Jaden had his first solid food on Friday. Rice cereal. He wasn't terribly thrilled with it. It didn't take him long to spit it all up, too, so I think we may try something else. I gave him some mushed peas from the garden and I think he liked the taste better, but they were hard for him to swallow.

Annual Shareholder's Meeting

Sounds boring, right? Especially when I say we were there for 7 hours! But we had the "meeting" at the waterslides, so it was lots of fun!
Kinda chilly, though. The weatherman said it would clear up by lunch, but it didn't.Here's the partners with their future employees. Jordan is 3 weeks younger than Jaden.Jaden liked splashing in the warm pool. He didn't get to go down any slides this year.Rachael and Kaitlyn had lots of fun, even if it was cold. At least that meant the lineups were shorter.

Beach Baby

Darcy had Thursday off, and with the weatherman predicting warm temperatures we decided to head to our favorite beach. Jaden enjoyed his first experience, staying cool in the shade.
As is tradition Darcy made a mini swimming hole. Darcy started doing this about 7 years ago, and since then we have graduated from the wimpy beach shovels to some heavy duty tools. Kaitlyn helped dig, too. After digging the hole big enough, you fill it with water. Then sit in the warm water and enjoy. But one hole isn't enough when you have two girls! So, repeat the process for girl #2.Jaden decided he didn't need a little hole - he went for the big water!Of course, no trip to the beach is complete without a treat or two.Jaden had his own treat - his first experience drinking water from a cup! If we're thirsty, chances are he is, too. And besides, the water spilled on his tummy cools him off.Rachael liked swimming and catching little fish.
Kaitlyn liked swimming and sitting in her pool.Jaden like everything. So much new stuff to learn about at the beach! After a busy day, it was time to go home. Goodbye, Beach. We'll be back.
