Canada Day

O Canada! This year we went with friends and family to the Canada day festivities and had a ball! The weather was nice and hot, unlike last year's chilly holiday.

The kids had fun jumping in bouncy-things (what are they called, anyway?) and making all sorts of crafty creations.Mad-hatters Rachael, Nicole and Amanda show off their stylin' new fashion head-gear.

The most fun was had at the Build-A-Box centre. With a framer and an electrician leading the crew we knew it would be a masterpiece. The 30 sq ft model home comes complete with 2 stories, a tower, fireplace and chimney, a dormer window, retro green shag carpet (looks an awful lot like grass!) and a quaint front porch to welcome your guests.

First Saturday of Summer

The first Saturday of Summer was HOT!!! So we decided after last year's horrible summer we had to head straight to the beach!

We brought cousin Coli with us cuz things are always more fun when you've got cousins to play with.

Strawberry Picking

My sister-in-law told me my blog needed updating so I should come strawberry picking with her and take some cute pics! So here they are!

My kids actually had fun picking strawberries with their big cousins. Rachael even said she wanted to stay and pick longer, after her cousins left. But then it wasn't nearly as fun when they weren't there.

Next they want to go raspberry picking, too!

A Trip To China???

Easter Egg Hunt

Happy Easter! We got rained-out(I mean IN) again this year! Two years in a row! What is this world coming to? But the kids had loads of fun and that's all that counts, right? Once again Auntie Kendra worked her magic and organized everything. She even made this awesome cake that looked like a 3D rabbit - very cool!

I Lost My First Tooth!

I I lost my first tooth the day after my 5th birthday! It was really wiggly for a long time. Mommy and Daddy helped me pull it out and then I stuck it under my pillow. But I don't believe in the tooth fairy. Mommy and Daddy gave me money under my pillow and took my tooth. I have another loose tooth already!

The Coolest Birthday Cake Ever!

Rachael's 5 Years Old!!!!!

Can you believe my baby girl is 5 years old already!!!!!?! Crazy how fast they grow up. Here she is with some of her presents.

As if snow in March isn't bad enough, but the flakes were the size of feathers! It was like the angels in heaven were having a great big pillow fight and all the feathers were falling down on us!

Rachael made this picture of Blue and her Blue's Clues friends for Kaitlyn. They are all thinking about what musical instruments they want to play - except Slippery Soap who Rachael says only thinks about bubbles.

Rachael's got a loose tooth already and she's not even 5 yet!!! I guess I shouldn't be too surprised because she got her first tooth at only 4 months old. Actually, the new tooth is already halfway through - behind the baby tooth instead of under it. Uh-oh. I guess this is when we start saving for braces?!?! Hopefully not. I (Rachael's mom) had a tooth grow in like that and once the baby tooth was out the new one moved on its own to the right place, so cross your fingers!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Rachael and Kaitlyn made a heart cake for Valentine's Day. They decorated it all by themselves. Don't they look cute in their aprons and chef's hats? Oh, wait, they look cute in anything!

Rachael made Angel wings out of paper and halos out of sparlky pipe cleaners. She loves making crafty things!
